Types of plague

Y. pestis, when bacteria in the body by a bite of infected fleas or by a reduction or discontinuation of the skin, then, the disease was bubonic plague. "Bubo" is painful swollen lymph nodes. Bubonic plague is the most common form of the disease and not, it can progress to septicemic plague.
If Y. pestis bacteria in the blood, septic shock, and the disease is septicemic plague.
If Y. pestis bacteria are inhaled, is in the lungs and the disease is pneumonic plague. Pneumonic plague is of particular importance because it might be the person to person.

Pneumonic plague
is one of the three main forms of plague, all characterized by the bacterium Yersinia pestis. It is rare and virulent bubonic plague. The difference between the versions of the plague is the site of infection. Typically, pneumonic form is secondary to the spread of infection to a first bubonic. Primary pneumonic plague results from inhalation of infectious droplets and can be transmitted from human to human without involvement of fleas or animals. N. pneumonic plague has a very high mortality rate.
